The method involves generating an accounts statement that refers an amount value, and selecting a temporary stored amount value from a buffer memory (PS) by an accessing mechanism (ZE). The values are added to obtain a cumulative value that is compared with a preset threshold value (SE). Account access information is sent to an accounts management facility when the cumulative value exceeds the threshold value. The cumulative value is stored in the memory, and the access is terminated when the cumulative value falls below the threshold value.
