A method for formulating a technical drawing, such as an installation plan, a pipeline plan etc, especially of an industrial plant or at least part of it, with at the aid of a computer device where through a section from a stored three-dimensional representation, a two-dimensional representation is produced and is shown on a display device together with a print-out, where the two-dimensional representation is to scale and where at least one representation object of the drawing is physically filled out in the two-dimensional representation and a sighting plane of the two-dimensional representation is arranged parallel to the plane of the section.
