Pipe elbow for coupling fluid pipelines incorporating freely movable flow guidance elements positioned in response to pipeline flow

The pipe elbow (10) is fitted between 2 fluid pipelines (12,14) extending at an angle to one another, e.g. at 90 degrees to one another and incorporates additional flow guidance elements (16,18), each of which is provided by an individual plate. The flow guidance elements are freely movable relative to the sidewalls of the pipe elbow and to one another, for adopting the optimum flow position in response to the pipeline flow.
