Composition (A) containing metformin (I; 1,1-dimethylbiguanide monohydrochloride) as active agent and auxiliaries, is formulated as water-soluble granulate. An independent claim is also included for device for administering a (I) solution (as a drink), comprising a gastric tube that can be linked, through a connecting piece, to a container holding a predetermined dose of the (I) solution. ACTIVITY : Antidiabetic. No details of tests for antidiabetic activity are given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
