Contact thermometer, especially a medical thermometer, has a contact surface (K) that is brought into contact with the skin surface. Embedded in the surface are a number of temperature sensors (T1-T8), e.g. thermistors thermoelements. The surface in which the sensors are embedded is made from a material (S) that has lower heat conductivity and heat capacity than the sensors.
