A radio signal transmitter (2) on a motorcycle relies on the operational status of the motorcycle's direction indicator to transmit an operating status signal to a separately designed radio signal receiver (3), which fits on a motorcyclist's helmet and has an acoustic signal transmitter (31) triggered corresponding to the operating status signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) A motorcycle helmet with a radio signal receiver for a flashing direction indicator; (B) and for a motorcycle with a radio signal transmitter for a flashing direction indicator.
