The method involves injecting the fuel/lubricant mixture volume to be injected during each working stroke with at least two injection jets using at least one injection element (14). A first injection jet is directed into an overflow channel (15) or combustion chamber (16) and a second injection jet is directed into the crankcase or inlet channel (12). An independent claim is also included for two-stroke engine with at least one cylinder.
