A new sound production system uses a two dimensional matrix of loudspeaker elements to form a frontal matrix-wavefield synthesis [FMWFS] process. Space information is separately transmitted and different room sizes and reflection characteristics are used to provide time and amplitude corrections to the generated sound field.
