Spanner (1) comprises a receiving opening (3) defined by stopping faces (4, 4', 5, 5') for the screw surfaces of a profile that form a screw edge with other stopping faces or with defining surfaces (6) of the receiving opening. The distance between two parallels that intersect the screw edges at right angles is about the same as a standard spanner opening for profiles. Screw edges are provided for at least two standard spanner openings. Independent claims are also included for: (1) Spanner system comprising the above spanner; (2) Production line comprising the above spanner system; and (3) Use of a spanner system for turning a screw with a polygonal head in/out of an object.
