Hydrodynamic machine, especially a turbocoupling has primary and secondary wheels that together form a torroidal working space that is filled with a working medium. A temperature measurement arrangement is installed in a rotating component and delivers a temperature dependent signal. The signal yields information for determining the absolute temperature of the working medium and or a predefined reference point of the rotating component. An independent claim is included for a method for determining the temperature of a working medium or reference point of a rotating component.
