Production of shaped bodies for construction of light metal castings, especially casting nozzles (sic), ingot mold rings, intermediate tubes, sleeves (sic) and/or heating head rings (sic) involving:preparation and mixing of starting materials, filling the mold with starting materials, freezing (sic) of the mold, removal of the shaped body, thawing and drying of the shaped body. Independent claims are included for (a) a finely porous ceramic body for use in construction of the casting equipment having pores of diameter 4-6 mu m; (b) a shaped body of preferred porosity 55-62%.
