The bolt (4) is a thin metal strip which can fit into a slot (5) in the bodywork. A finger (20) is rigidly attached to a handle (21) on a pivot (6), and can bear against a pin (2) which passes through an L-shaped slot (3) in the bolt. The pin is mounted on the end of a jointed lever (1) whose other end swivels on the pivot. The two halves of the lever (1a,1b) are pivoted together (1c) in the middle and there is a spring (7) providing a toggle action. A cylinder lock is integrated with the pivot for the handle to hold or release the inner part of the lever.
