The cabriolet roof (2) has a collapsible framework (3) fitted with a roof covering incorporating a rear windscreen (14), the frame work having edge struts (4), a tensioning hoop (6) and tensioning rods (7), with positioning of the edge struts during deployment of the cabriolet roof via a guide element (100) cooperating with a guide (200) associated with one of the tensioning rods.
