The change cartridge for coupling to a user or filling station, using liquid hydrogen, has a release connection coupling (39) and a tank (1) to hold the liquid hydrogen. The tank assembly has an inner tank (112) and an outer tank (114), with a super insulation (113) between them as a thermally insulating layer e.g. as a vacuum for the inner tank, when filled with liquid or partially-liquid hydrogen. A protective cap for the coupling has a space to hold a catalyst. An immersion tube (12) with a heat exchanger (13) delivers heat into the inner tank to give a supply of hydrogen gas for the user motor.
