The controller has a control unit e.g. potentiometer (4), mounted on each one of freely groupable modules. The control units are optically connected with a bus system. Each module is permitted for connection with the bus system through respective control unit. The controller is communicated with a computer (6) via USB, LPT, RS232, MIDI, FireWire, SCSI and PS2. Power supply for each module is carried out via the bus system.
