The method involves recording the temperature (S1) at an entrance (E2) of supplied industrial water and the temperature (S1c) of the first entrance (E1) of supplied hot water. The temperature at the first exit (A1) of exhausted hot water is recorded. The current is recorded at the secondary winding and the desired value of the mass current (S2b) at the primary winding is established with consideration of the recorded temperatures (S1a, S1c, S1d), recorded mass current (S2a) and a desired value (S1b) for the temperature of the warmed up industrial water. The mass current (S2b) at the primary winding is recorded and the regulated on the fixed desired value by the pump (P) as a function of the seized mass current (S2b) at the primary winding. An independent claim is included for a device for warmed industrial water over a heat exchanger mechanism (WT).
