An automotive front-end crash energy absorption module incorporates further aggregates e.g. radiator, headlamps and hood lock fittings. The hood lock anchorage point (2) is a discrete metal component located in advance of the attachment frame (1) as seen in the direction of forward travel. The anchorage point (2) has a crown zone (6) to which the hood lock (8) is secured behind two forward-splayed struts (9) directed downwards. The strut forward struts terminate in fixtures to the chassis longitudinal members (4).
