The strengthening layer system (1) for securing a road layer between a foundation and a top layer comprises a reinforcing layer (2) embedded by a fleece layer (5). Dependent on its position relative to the reinforcing elements, this fleece layer takes the form of either a compound layer (8) or two sublayers (6, 7). An independent claim is also included for a method for producing the proposed strengthening layer system.
