An automotive fuel injection system has a high-pressure pump (2) with a number of injector (5) jets (8), each supplied by a high-pressure line (4, 41, 42). Each injector is immediately preceded by a throttle (7) that has flow resistance that is greater towards the pump (2) than to the jet (8). Each fuel line (4, 41, 42) has a further throttle (6).
