Production of a glazed plate comprises grinding a glass plate (1) in a planar manner before adhering on its narrow sides (2), and applying a glass lacquer to the narrow sides. A plate with a larger periphery than the glass plate is used as a carrier plate on which the glass plate is adhered. The narrow sides of the carrier plate are cut with the narrow sides of the glass plate in a planar manner.
