The front part of a dash brace (8) is fitted to a front side member (1) through a notch (4a) formed on a dash panel (4). The side face (8c) of the dash brace is laminated onto the top of the side face (3b) of the front side member, and both side faces are welded to each other such that a ridgeline (L2) on the side of the front side member and the ridgeline (L7) of the dash brace are formed continuously.
