A fixed and unitary input-output time schedule is maintained independent of the mode of diversity of the antenna, while weighting the path and compensating the antenna-diversity of the symbols. One of the symbols is received when the previous symbol and the symbol that is compensated for diversity of the antenna are output. An independent claim is also included for a device for combining symbols in a rake receiver.
