A telescopic ski stick has an inner section (9) sliding inside an outer section and with the inner section fitted with a connecting grip (6) comprising cones and threaded spindles to expand grip surfaces (30) to clamp into the inside of the outer section. The clamping means are applied and loosened simply by twisting the inner and outer sections to set or release the telescopic setting. No outer clamping means are required.
