The device has a housing for accommodating a cable with at least one wire enclosed by a sleeve that is removed from a section inside the housing, whereby the at least one wire I this section is encased in setting material and a second setting material at least partly encloses this region and part of the cable. The first setting material is a water-repelling resin or plastic material and the second is a reinforce resin with inlaid particles. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing an inventive device.
