Stackable chair made from wood comprises struts (8) made from tubular steel having front ends (9) inserted into holes (10) on the rear side of the front legs (2) and having rear ends (11) inserted into holes (12) on the inner side of the rear legs. The struts run parallel to each other at a distance below the side grooves (1). Preferred Features: The ends of the struts are fixed in the holes using a two-component adhesive. The seat pad (4) does not completely cover the side grooves so that the struts lie on the grooves of a neighboring chair when stacked.
