The sealing system for the faces (14, 16) of the gears (6, 10) of an internal gear pump comprises sealing rings (24, 28) which fit into grooves (22, 26) around them. Springs are mounted in the grooves inside the rings and press them against the pump casing (18. 20). An independent claim is included for an internal gear pump fitted with the sealing system.
