Display appliance comprises rear frame (220), transparent front plate (210) and display panel (230). Rear frame has water-tight configuration, with rear frame and front plate sealed by silicone resin for attaining water-tight state. Transparent resin gel layer is fitted between rear of transparent front plate and front of display panel, reducing load exerted by deformation of transparent front plate onto display panel and preventing change of display by extreme force. Independent claims are included for manufacture of display appliance.
