The rotary displacement machine, especially combustion engines, gas compressors and displacement pumps has segment-form displacement components (V1,V2) constructed as completely closed bodies which revolve on the wall of the fixed casing to effect supply medium feed and return from the outside via control slots (N1,N2) formed in the circumference of the casing and with a cross section which is adapted to the volume flow varying in the circumferential direction.
