A disposable diaper especially for adults has an absorption core carried on a backsheet and widens at least on one side of a cut-out zone to form two flaps with one flap having two separate closure zones fixed to a carrier for closure of the diaper, the two separate closure zones being permanently fixed to the backsheet via the carrier formed in the flap. Independent claims are also included for (i) a flap for permanent fixing to the backsheet of a diaper for adults, the flap having two separate closure zones; and #production of the diaper by permanently fixing the two separate flaps to the backsheet via a common carrier formed in the flap.
