The pump has a housing (11) with suction (12) and pressure sockets, and at least two rotors (13,14), each with a side channel (16,17). These are in direct communication with a common suction chamber (18) and/or a common pressure chamber. The pressure apertures of the side channels open into the common pressure chamber, and this communicates with the pressure socket. At least one of the rotors is a peripheral rotor with a rotor plate (20,21), which is extended by a radial central bracket (22,23), so that each side channel is divided into two part channels (24,25,26,27). Radial rotor blades (28,29) extend from the bracket into the side channels.
