The locking device for side stands or center stands of motorized two-wheelers has a lock which is rigidly fitted on the side stand or center stand, or on the gearbox or engine block or mounting attached there if the construction of the vehicle dictates it, and in the locked state by means of a bar, pin or bolt slides between the side stand or center stand and frame, or gearbox or engine block or mounting attached there, and so prevents the side stand or center stand from pivoting inwards.
