The check part (9) comprises a rocker with two arms (13, 14) and this rocker can be pivoted about an axis (10) extending parallel to the hinge axis (3). The rocker has a free end pivotally connected to a lever arm (11) which extends at a tangent to the counter-bearing segment (5) containing the ratchet mechanism profiles (7) and which forms part of a double-arm loading lever and is also pivotable about an axis (12) parallel to the hinge axis. The segment centre (Z) is offset with respect to the hinge axis in the door opening direction. At least one spring-loaded check part is pivotally mounted on a loading lever connected to a first hinge wing (2). A counter- bearing for the check part is formed by a fixed segment of a second hinge wing (1) and this segment extends concentrically to the hinge axis and contains ratchet mechanism profiles. The check part is engaged with at least one of these profiles in order to hold the door open.
