The assembly aids the fault-tracing of solenoid coil and has a controller for the supply of a signal. A driver controls the solenoid coil with a measuring signal and a diagnostic unit diagnoses the subsequent measuring signal. The detection of a short-circuit or an electrical interruption in the solenoid coil is performed by the measuring signal by the condition of the solenoid coil where a pull-up resistor between the driver and the solenoid coil is arranged and between the diagnostic unit a second pull-up resistor is arranged.
