The plug body and base are a sliding fit with locking devices to unite them. When united, a conductive area of the body makes an electrical connection with the ends of copper pins on the plug base. The plug comprises upper and base shells, together with a circuit board having conductive areas designed for pins of plugs conforming with different standards. A catch system allows re-separation of the plug.
