The canopy has a number of light sources arranged on the hinged arms and/or arm sections (15,16). The light sources are in the form of light emitting diode arrangements. The light emitting diode arrangements are arranged on the upper sides of the hinged arms so as to illuminate the cloth (13) of the canopy. An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a retrofit kit for an inventive device.
