Fire retardant panel has a sandwich construction with an overlay layer on a decorative paper and with an aluminium base

An improved fire retardant panel, e.g. for public service vehicles, has an overlay layer (1) applied to a high pressure produced decorative paper layer (2) and pressed onto an aluminium base (3). The panel can be mounted direct or bonded to a core material, e.g. aluminium honeycomb or foam backing. The panel complies with the proposed European standard EB 45545 as well as the current DIN 5510 and the French standard NF 16-101.
