The travel adapter plug has a socket side (11), for reception of an electrical appliance plug, provided with a number of plug pin slots (11a) of differing shape, each provided with a current conducting clamp (11b) electrically coupled to a metal current conductor strip (15) between the socket and plug sides of the adapter. The plug side (12) of the adapter plug has 2 plug pin inserts (20) and an earthing pin (12a) between them, each plug pin insert having 2 rotatable contact pins (21,23).
