A container for collecting liquids from machines, e.g. cutting oils, emulsions etc., has a clear cylinder (1) of plastic or glass clamped between upper (2) and lower (3) end caps with radial extensions which are linked by outer threaded fasteners (16, 23). The cylinder is sealed into the caps by elastic sealing rings (8, 14) comprising shaft seals with inner radial sealing profiles (15). The threaded fasteners comprise studding with the lower ends threaded into the lower cap and with wing nuts to secure the upper ends. The bottom cap has a central drain hole (4) while the upper cap has an entry hole (10) and a fluid level monitor (11).
