Two part fitting for freewheel hub of bicycle is cut from one component to form a bearing cone and a locking cone

A simple cost effective process for manufacturing the two components for a freewheel rear hub with back pedal braking for a bicycle. The bearing cone and the locking cone are produced by dividing a single component, e.g. by laser cutting which does not require post cutting treatment such as tempering. The bearing cone is provided with two blind bores, parallel to the central axis to hold two locking pegs and drive springs. The locking cone is cut with two ratchet grips for the drive pegs.
