The roof skylight has stay bars (2) which are supported on opposite sides of the light aperture and support light penetrable panels (3). Struts (4) constructed as square section tubes are installed between adjacent stay bars and by their cut-out ends bear upon the upper side of the stay bars and are fastened especially by threaded bolts. The spacing of the struts is variable inside a predetermined range.
