A card reader has an insulated housing, a contact control unit (2) in which a first control connection (21) and a second control connection (22), and a first spring arm (212) are provided. The first holder (211) can be positioned in the insulated housing and the first spring arm (212) is available via first- and second-limbs (216,217), in which a first rigid end of the limb (216) is joined to the holder (211), while its second movable end extends into a receptacle and is located at the rear end of the insulated housing. The second limb (217) is used for connection of the movable end of the first limb (216) and can be bent at a turning point (218), while the second end of the second end is a free end (219) and the second control terminal (22) has a second holder (221) which can be positioned in the insulated housing.
