The piece (10) is a strip (12) of lead or zinc with z-shaped folds (16) which are spaced apart in the strip length direction. The folds form drainage channels (18) extending between the upper and lower edges (22, 24) of the strip. The channels extend at an acute angle relative to the upper edge. Adhesive strips extending in the metal strip cross-direction are provided on the rear side of the piece.
