The holder (10) has a housing part (18) containing at least one electrical contact, and having locking springs which engage with catches (17) on a lamp socket (15) to hold it in the housing part. A second housing part (19) encloses the first housing part in a sleeve-like manner, and can be rotated relative to the first housing part about the longitudinal axis of the holder. The second housing part has locking members (33) which hold the locking springs in a locking position against the catches of the lamp socket, so that they cannot be deflected.
