The ratchet spanner has a spanner body (10), a ratchet wheel and the direction control device (13) engaged with the ratchet wheel. The drive element has two sectors, the second of which has a drive head (22) for fitting a screw bush. A ball (24) on the drive head is pressed against the screw bush. A quick release device can lock the ball to the drive head.
