The elevator has a drive engine (5) with a drive shaft, in which the drive engine is installed perpendicular to the elevator wall. A counterweight (2) moves along separate guide rails (17) using a load carrying unit (11). Pedestal bearings are installed on a drive engine bed besides a driving disk. An angular momentum controller is fastened to a brake of the engine to control the motion of the engine.
