A sensor detects the user of urinal made of ceramics or other material, and an electric valve is operated by circuitry of a flushing device. A siphon is provided in the outlet to block smells. The components required for flushing, i.e. the electric valve and a water supply line in the urinal are attached at suitable fixing points on the urinal, in the space between the urinal and the wall.
