The model shows a plan view of the sailing boat, and illustrates the curvature of the sails under the action of the wind. Each model sail is supported on a flat rectangular baseboard (H). There are (3) hinge pins (V). The first pin connects the first end of a first link (T1) to the board. The second pin connects the second end of the first link to the first end of the second link (T2). The third pin connects the second end of the second link to the first end of the third link (T3). The links can form a curve approximating to that of a sail.
