The apparatus has a guide roller (6), a conveyor belt (4) that moves around a driving drum (5) to convey a waste paper mixture including a paper and a cardboard, and a sorting device (2) with a pressure roller (3). The rollers (3, 6), each with an adjustable arm, have contact pressure that separates the paper from the mixture. Another pressure roller (7) coated with rubber presses the separated paper. The pressure roller (7) coated with the rubber is placed above an axle of the drum (5) and beneath the axles of the guide roller (6).
