The system has valves that seal the oil flow of tension stage damping or force stage damping and/or throttles. A sensor steers a signal that switches each valve into an opening valve or a closing valve. Each valve is switched into a closed valve only for the time of an impulse resulted from a bicycle pedalist. The sensor is suitable to detect the tread frequency of a treadle and the tread force at a pedal.
