The performance enhancing system comprises at least one water-electrolysis unit (1) which supplies the combustion chamber (6) of the engine (7) with oxygen and/or hydrogen. The electrolysis unit can be coupled to a water supply tank (2) wherein hydrogen and oxygen pipes are coupled to the electrolysis unit and to at least one nozzle/valve for leading into the combustion chamber. The supply of hydrogen and oxygen is regulated through a control unit.
